innovation, Mr. Vitali stands apart as a kind of one-man frontier for the
avant-garde. It has been easy to regard him as someone who is pushing
the limits of art in a very positive way.”

Some of his surrealistic fashions (ties, jewelry & hair sculptures) have
appeared in international magazines like
Panorama, Stern, and Elle and
in the prestigious traveling international exhibition
Fashion and
Surrealism
.

While working with techniques that are often considered
“experimental,” Vitali has consistently received coverage in the
mainstream media. He is the originator of  “Puddle Art, which uses the
reflective qualities of water as a liquid canvas, being featured on the
celebrated
David Letterman Show, and in numerous national and
international magazines.

Vitali’s “Visual Music” using musical notes in graphic patterns, has
received attention on
CNN and has been used in his various multi-media
performances titled Error & Perfection and Awkwardology.
Other organizations that have supported his work include the NEA,
NYFA, PA Council on the Arts, Polaroid, Kodak, the Experimental TV
Center, and the Adolph and Ester Gottlieb Foundation.

receiving first notice in
Wired and recently has received funding from

Julius Vitali’s intelligent use of the media has bolstered his career,
helping him to secure numerous artist and educational residencies,
receive corporate support, and exhibit in the United States and Europe,
and place artwork in public institutions and private collections.
